ID Badge Requirements:

All U.S. Department of Commerce Bureaus

Foreign Nationals -

• CD-591 PIV Request Form with pts. A & B filled out
• Copy of Two Forms of Government ID
• Photo for ID card (Passport quality hard copy mailed or emailed to wrc.pass.id@noaa.gov)
• OF 306 Decleration for Federal Employemnt (FNVs & Contrators too)
• FD-258 (fingerprint card)
• Security Coversheet / Investigation request / Badge request

Contractors -

For Contractors (everyone that's not FTE or Foreign National) here for 179 days or less, we will issue a temporary ID for not longer than 179 days.

• Photo for ID card (Passport quality hard copy mailed or emailed to wrc.pass.id@noaa.gov)
• OF 306 Decleration for Federal Employemnt (FNVs & Contrators too)
• FD-258 (fingerprint card)
• Security Coversheet / Investigation request / Badge request

U.S. Department of Commerce - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Federal Employees (FTE) -

• Photo for ID card (Passport quality hard copy mailed or emailed to wrc.pass.id@noaa.gov)
• Security Coversheet / Investigation request / Badge request

A 30 day temporary ID card will be issued. During this time, the employee will need to find a RAPIDS Site and obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) before their temporary card expires.

• Effective 09/10/2009, NWS Bargaining Unit Federal Employees have been approved to obtain the CAC.

Contractors -

Everyone that is not a FTE or Foreign National with NOAA for 180 days or more will be issued a 30 day temporary ID card. During this time, the contractor will need to:

1. Have their Trusted Agent input their required information into the Contractor Verification System (CVS);
2. Find a RAPIDS Site and obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) before their temporary card expires.

U.S. Department of Commerce - All other Bureaus in DOC

Federal Employees (FTE) -

• Photo for ID card (Passport quality hard copy mailed or emailed to wrc.pass.id@noaa.gov)
• Security Coversheet / Investigation request / Badge request

A 30 day temporary ID card will be issued. During this time, the employee will need to find a USAccess Credentialing Center and obtain a GSA Solution Card before their temporary card expires.

Everyone that is not a FTE or Foreign National with Department of Commerce Bureaus for 180 days or more will be issued a 30 day temporary ID card.
