For those who will be here for 29 days or less
- Our office receives the above complete security package request.
- We will run the prints. If there are no issues, an email will be sent to the sponsor. If there are issues, the sponsor will receive a phone call from a Security Specialist.
- The Sponsor is able to bring the Contractor onboard (able to start) once the print results are cleared for those individuals who are here for less than 29 days.
For those who will be here for 30 – 179 days
- The Sponsor is able to bring the Contractor onboard (able to start) once the once they received an email that the SAC has been submitted.
- Submit a Security Package to the Security Office (wrso.parsec@noaa.gov) for a PIP Check
If the applicant does not have a favorable current/previous security investigation on file, follow the steps below:
- Sponsor will initiate NBIS/eAPP for subject.
- Subject will receive an email invite from NBIS.
- The NBIS/eAPP is reviewed, if no issues – the NBIS/eApp is released to DCSA, if there are issues, the NBIS/eAPP is returned to contractor.
- When NBIS/eAPP is released to DCSA, the Sponsor/COR/TAS is notified by email. Once the CD591 is received, the Contactor has cleared security (able to start).
We will attached a CD591 to the email. Once the Sponsor/COR/TAS received the CD591, the contractor is able to obtain an CAC. Please look at the TASS CD-591 Training PDF, slides 5,6,7.
